Salon pro-blogger Gleen Greenwald slam dunks again with his well studied and written piece on a side of the Palestinian conflict long ignored: that of Israel’s aggression, and how the American press and political parties ignore Palestine’s issues that have led them to their defensive posturing.  While both sides have committed wrongs, it is almost impossible to find a single piece by an Old Media outlet in America that offers a view from Palestine’s position in the 40 year old conflict.

Greenwald explores all the “sides” of the portrayed American opinion on the conflict: those of the conservatives, the liberals, the leaving President and the coming President, the loudmouth Old Media, and more.  The most inspiring part of his post, as always, are the hundreds of comments in support of his heroic action of posting what must be said.

I have no support for either Israel or Palestine, but I wholeheartedly am saddened by the neoconservative movement of Israel with the full support of the American politicos, both liberal and conservative.  The issue has little to do with what is happening today, but what has happened over 40 years.  I am fully resolved to the support of the rights of both sides to defend their property, but I am aghast at the financial support that American taxpayers offer to one side and not the other.  It is my opinion that we taxpayers should withdraw ALL support of ALL foreign countries, and let them battle their own wars, with their own weapons, and their own policies.
